The following were elected at the AGM meeting of Hanging Heaton Community Group on 11th May 2006:
| Honorary President: | Jack Bunn | Jack Bunn has lived in Hanging Heaton for most of his life and spent considerable time and effort in improving the lives of residents. Whether it be in his hatching of chickens from supermarket eggs or in campaigning for the improvement of the local area, Jack is well known and well-respected. We're delighted that Jack has accepted the title of Honorary President. |
| Jack accepted the role for a 12-month period. |

| Chairperson: | Billie Lowe | Billie has lived in Hanging Heaton for a number of years and is currently retired. |
| Vice-Chairperson: | David Lane | David is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University and lives just outside of Hanging Heaton, although he lived in the village until 2004. His eldest son attends Hanging Heaton Primary School. |
| Secretary: | Tessa Lowe | Tessa is the daughter of Billie and she has lived in the village for many years. She works for social services as a manager. |
| Treasurer: | Ann Thompson |
Ann is a building society manager and has lived in Hanging Heaton for most of her life. |
| Press Officer: | Joanne Gilbert |
Joanne has lived in the area for a number of years and is very involved with Hanging Heaton Cricket Club and works for one of the local newspapers. |
| Youth Liaison Officer: | Matthew Thompson | Matthew has lived in Hanging Heaton all his life and he attends a local school. |
Hanging Heaton Community Group is delighted that the following four individuals have agreed to become trustees:
| Chris Battye | Chris is a local businessman and is
heavily involved in the local area and local society.

| Sue Glover | Sue is the Head of Hanging Heaton CofE
J&I Primary School and lives in the local area.

| David Taylor | David works as a barrister.

| Colin Whiteley | Colin works for the local police and lives within Hanging Heaton. |
