Past Meetings

 

The following dates show the meetings of Hanging Heaton Community Group and key actions:

July Meeting, 6th July 2006 - This included an update on what's been happening over the past month and particularly the Hanging Heaton Gala. It included a visit from one of the local councillors, together with a discussion on progress so far.

AGM Meeting, June 2006 - The first AGM of Hanging Heaton Community Group led to a review of the first year, together with minor alterations to posts.

May Meeting, May 2006 - There was no May meeting due to the local elections taking place on the day of the meeting.

April Meeting, 6th April 2006 - This included an update on what's been happening over the past month and particularly the events to be held shortly. Issues to be raised in the AGM were considered.

March Meeting, 2nd March 2006 - This included an update on what's been happening over the past month, a visit from Chris Ellis of Kirklees Metropolitan Council, a talk from one of the Kirklees Dog Wardens and also the Community Police Officer.

February Meeting, 2nd February 2006 - This included an update on what's been happening over the past month, the initial results of the questionnaire currently being evaluated, a visit from Chris Ellis of Kirklees Metropolitan Council and an update the Community Police Officer.

January Meeting, 5th January 2006 - This included an update on what's been happening over the past month, details of the questionnaire currently being delivered and an introduction from the Community Police Officer.

2005 Meetings

December Meeting, 1st November 2005 - Updates on the Charity Commission, fundraising, the dedication of the Christmas Tree and the results from bids. There was a presentation from Chris Ellis of Kirklees Council which was well received.

November Meeting, 4th November 2005 - Updates on the Charity Commission, fundraising, Christmas Tree and the results from bids. This was a Special Meeting due to the need for an alteration to the constitution, which was passed unanimously. Hanging Heaton Community Group agreed to sponsor Shaw Cross Under 8's Boys rugby league team together with a proposal to hold two events; a Christmas party for local children aged 5-11 and an event for over-65's. The draft questionnaire for consultation with the local community was also distributed.

October Meeting, 7th October 2005 - An update on fundraising activities, the Christmas Tree event plus updates from bid applications. In addition the research project with young people and elderly is going ahead and consultation will be occurring with local residents about the proposed play area on Bywell Fields and the proposed park benches in Hanging Heaton.

September Meeting, 1st September 2005 - Feedback from the 1st Hanging Heaton Gala, a meeting with Kirklees Council, the Charity Commission charity registration application plus other local activities.

August Meeting, 4th August 2005 - Updates on boundaries for Hanging Heaton & the neighbourhood and the first Hanging Heaton Gala - meetings on Thursday at 7.30 pm at Hanging Heaton Cricket Club.

July Meeting, 7th July 2005 - Updates on park benches, speeding and boundaries for Hanging Heaton & the neighbourhood (original proposal presented plus proposal by Andrew Hoyle of Kirklees MC) together with news on playground facilities. Gala committee formed to prepare for August gala - meetings on Thursday at 7.30 pm at Hanging Heaton Cricket Club.

June Meeting, 9th June 2005 - Issues of public meeting re. Community Centre (see Batley News article), speeding vehicles, park benches and picnic tables, Christmas tree, sub-committees, a gala in July/August and attendance at Batley and Dewsbury Area Committees covered.

Inaugural Meeting, 10th May 2005    -    Constitution agreed, roles elected, membership agreed.
